Yes! We believe all children should learn to swim. If you qualify for a Free or Reduced School Lunch, apply here.
Every child learns differently. Learning depends upon many factors including their developmental stage, previous experiences around water, ability to deal with change and practice. Some children regress a little before they progress. It is important to be patient and positive.
Be their biggest cheerleader! The more positive reinforcement your child has the more confident they will become. Your instructors will give you homework to complete with your child at home to help them progress between lessons.
We offer group, semi-private, and private and inclusion swim lessons at Your Location or Ours. Swim With Gills may recommend a particular class setting based on a swimmer’s age and level of development. If you are unsure of which class to register for, please contact our office. We are happy to help you find the right program for your family.
We love when swimmers have a positive connection with their swim instructor! We will do our best to accommodate any instructor requests, subject to the instructor’s schedule and availability.
We understand scheduling conflicts happen. Please email office@swimwithgills.com or call or text us at (561) 222-4994 and we will work with you to find a day and time that fits with your schedule.
Yes! We would be delighted to schedule you a pro-rated cost 'Drop In' class for our group sessions or a one-time Private Swim Lesson.

While we cannot guarantee that there will be an available spot at your preferred day and time with your favorite instructor, we’ll do everything we can to work with your schedule and preferences. We recommend that you remain enrolled, even if you do miss a few lessons. For group classes, we offer make-ups for the classes you do miss and your child would benefit more from some swim lessons rather than none.
Because Swim With Gills Swim School runs continuously rather than seasonally, your lessons will continue indefinitely until you withdraw from our school. We love seeing children graduate through our levels and move on to Swim Team Prep!
Swim lessons should be offered year-round because it helps our swimmers maintain and improve their swimming skills and knowledge of water safety in, on and around the water.
Our perpetual lessons are also more convenient because they’re provided on a schedule that works with yours. You’ll always have the option to make changes to your lesson times if needed.
For lessons at Our Facilty, in the event you have to cancel a lesson, due to an upcoming event or travel plans, the office must be notified by the 1st of that month. A make-up lesson can be scheduled within that same month.
IF
An instructor has availability. We can’t guarantee make-up classes and make-up classes can not be ‘rolled over’ to the following month. At-Home Travel Lessons are scheduled week to week and there are no Makeup Classes. Late cancellations will be assessed a fee.
The Learn-to-Swim program focuses on building skills one step at a time. By giving them the opportunity to master one element before moving on to the next, our kids' swim classes make it easy to build confidence in the water.
During their swim lessons, children will spend time on the following six levels:
Depending on the age group of the swimmers attending the party, and the expected head count, we will guide you according to our insurance requirements. One Lifeguard is usually sufficient for up to 15 swimmers of varying abilities. Safety is always our top priority. For swimmers under the age of 4, we will require a smaller swimmer ratio.
Our lifeguards are highly personable and will want everyone to have a fun, safe experience in the pool. Their key job is watching the pool completely. If the lifeguard feels confident in the swimming skills of the kids present, he or she can coordinate some relay races, sharks and minnows games, etc. but must maintain supervision from the deck for safety of all. If you are hiring two lifeguards, more flexibility in duties could be arranged.
